Unlike incense used in Buddhist rituals, Inkō is a form of "hobby incense" enjoyed for its beauty and fragrance. As its name suggests, it is made by pressing incense dough into molds—just like making cookies. With a variety of charming shapes to choose from, you can create your own adorable incense pieces.

～Incense Workshop～
In this session, you’ll learn about the natural ingredients used in traditional Japanese incense.
Each material is introduced one by one, and you can enjoy smelling them as you learn. It’s a fun and relaxing way to explore the world of fragrance♪

If you prefer, you can skip the lecture to shorten the overall experience time. (The participation fee remains the same.)

～Inkō-Making Experience～
Choose your favorite scent and blend your own original incense.
All ingredients are 100% natural, so you can enjoy the process with peace of mind.

A delightful selection of molds is available—including rabbits, moons, flowers, and other charming shapes to choose from.

～How to Enjoy Your Incense～
Place the incense together with a piece of heated charcoal in a bed of ash, and gently warm it to release its fragrance.

～Other Ways to Enjoy Your Incense～
You can float the incense on hot water to gently release its fragrance.
Alternatively, you can stand the incense on a small mound of salt (instead of ash) and light it directly to enjoy its aroma.

～A Fun Experience for All Ages～
This experience is suitable for children of elementary school age and older, so feel free to join with your kids!
