Shabutsu is carefully transcribing sutras with Buddhist teachings written on them, one letter at a time. That time of concentrating and tracing will calm your mind, forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and find inner peace.

Shabutsu is drawing a picture of the Buddha by carefully tracing it line by line. Like a sutra, it concentrates the mind and makes you feel pure. Capturing the Buddha's gentle expressions and detailed decorations will be a valuable opportunity to deeply touch Japanese art and spirituality.

After preparing your mind with sutras and Buddha, take a special tour around the precincts.

A specialized guide will explain the history and architectural style of the majestic temple, starting with the five-storied pagoda and main hall, and the stories hidden within it in an easy-to-understand manner. Please feel the majesty of the building, which is the beginning of Japanese culture, and the profound sense of history up close.

After visiting, you can enjoy the local “Ikaruga specialty Tatsutaage Lunch.”

9:30 AM: Meet at JR Horyuji Station North Exit. Transfer by car.

9:40 AM: Meet your guide at Nandaimon (South Gate).

10:00 AM: Check-in at Benten-an. The experience begins.

11:00 AM: Guided tour of the temple grounds.

1:00 PM: Move to Wa cafe Fukokuen. The guide's service concludes upon arrival.

1:00 PM: Lunch.

2:00 PM: Car pick-up.

2:00 PM: Transfer to JR Horyuji Station.
